In addition to her work as a family physician and hospitalist physician, Dr. van Wyk has pursued extensive training in integrative Medicine and Mind-Body medicine, and is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, trained through the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute.
She is currently the Medical Director of HealthCode for Women, a preventive and lifestyle medicine program focused on women’s health and hormonal wellbeing, inclusive of gender-diverse individuals. She also consults at CAYA Health Centre, where she works in the areas of women’s health, hormones, and gender-affirming care.
Stephanie Dang (she/her) is a registered dietitian and the co-founder of CAYA Health Centre and Vancouver Dietitians. Stephanie's practice focuses on supporting folks with eating disorders and disordered eating, PCOS/PMOS, hormonal health, pre & postnatal nutrition, ADHD, and more. She works with clients on sustainable, evidence-based nutrition strategies that fit real life. In her practice, she has seen a pattern of women, trans, and non-binary individuals having difficulties feeling heard and validated in the health care system. She co-founded CAYA Health Centre to create a space offering safe, equitable, and inclusive care for those marginalized based on gender. She is passionate about working with clients on the root cause of their symptoms, and believes that health is more than just a number on the scale!
