About The Workshop

Join the Bad Academy community for a special workshop at the beautiful Polygon Gallery just in time for the Winter Solstice! We're spilling the tea on what to know about this special drink that spans generations and cultures all led by Claudia Tse founder of Teakan.

Tea is much more than a cozy beverage—it’s the most consumed drink worldwide after water, and has shaped the course of history. Join us for an exciting deep dive into the fascinating journey of tea, from its origins in ancient China to its rise as a global cultural phenomenon. Discover how tea influenced politics, wars, international trade, and even espionage.

Once we uncover the thrilling backstory of tea, we’ll explore its fundamentals. We’ll taste 3 unique single-origin teas from different parts of the world,  using different brewing techniques. This workshop is designed for you to leave with a richer understanding of tea’s cultural significance and the skills to elevate your tea game.

Note: This workshop is for women and Gender-non-conforming people only. All ages are welcome.

What’s Included:

  • 2.5 hour workshop
  • A goody Tea bag to take home!
