About The Workshop

Gear Swap: Saturday, May 2, 10am – 2pm

Calling all gear heads and hoarders! The outdoor season is upon us and rather than buying new gear or searching high and low on FB Marketplace, we’re turning to the Bad + Tilted community for a good ole’ fashion gear swap! Come sell, trade, and/or swap your wares. We are hoping for a very low-key event, so we’re keeping it casual. Come for the stuff and stay for the climbing and chilling at Tilted!

SWAP RULES

  • Be kind and respectful! This is a community event. Harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behaviour means you will be bounced outta here (we’re really buff)
  • Sellers are responsible for their own gear and equipment. Bring your own table, blanket, or bins if you want a setup. Keep your items with you at all times. First come, first serve for space to sell!
  • Only bring outdoor gear. Climbing, camping, hiking, ski, and similar gear! Crafts and clothes are also cool because who doesn’t love crafts and clothes! (If it seems like something you’d find at MEC or REI, you’re probably safe)
  • Gear must be clean and safe. If something is damaged, clearly label it and disclose it before any swap, sale, or trade. Anyone looking to buy safety gear: make sure you know what is acceptable to buy second hand! We aren’t responsible for gear that is later found to be unacceptable.
  • Be honest about condition. Share size, age, known history, and any repairs or recalls you know about. Very uncool to lie about it.
  • All deals are between participants. The venue and organizers are not responsible for transactions, lost items, or disputes.
  • Pricing and trades are up to you! Exchange of money is your responsibility. Unless you want to give us, the organizers, money 😉
  • First come, first served. No holding items for someone who is not present unless both parties explicitly agree.
  • Try-before-you-buy at your own risk. Test gear carefully! We have change rooms available too!
  • Keep pathways clear. Do not block entrances, walkways, or emergency exits.
  • No solicitation without approval. Any brand activations, flyers, or recruiting should be cleared with organizers first.
  • Pack it in, pack it out. Take home anything you bring that does not get swapped or sold, thank you!
